Vincent Enyeama needs no introduction to a lot of Nigerians as he’s one of the longest and most capped player in the history of Nigerian football. Born born 29th August, 1982 in Akwa Ibom, Enyeama began his career with his boyhood team Ibom Stars in 1999, before joining Enyimba international of Aba where he made name for himself.
During his time with Aba Elephants, Enyeama won three Nigerian league titles and two CAF Champions League crown and he also scored 10 goals for the club before his departure to Heartland FC. Enyeama played for clubs in Israel and won two league titles with Hapoel Tel-Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv, before moving to Lille Oslo in France where he enjoyed another successful years.
At the national team level, Enyeama earned 101 caps between 2002 and October 2015, he served as captain from 2013, he also featured the FIFA world Cup and was regarded as the greatest Nigerian goalkeeper of all time until his retirement from international football.
Enyeama is a devoted Christian and is married with three lovely children ( a boy and two girls). Enyeama and his wife Promise are currently based in France with their three children who are also growing fast.
